Yes, as John mentioned, seeing Beijing through different eyes makes for a different experience. I have had the simple pleasure of walking John to work and back most days when I have felt up to it and even on occasion to meet him for lunch. He is reflective during these times and is not looking forward to my departure but I focus on the fact that we have 5 more days together rather than 5 days left. This has been a great grounding visit for both of us and he has convinced me that our life here will be simple and less hectic than even at home in Ontario with no car and housing worries which temporarily means a less stressful life and we can focus on our hobbies and our health. He toured me through the facilities here at the Guiori Kingdom and we have access to a pool, tennis courts, billiard room, spa, sauna, whirlpool and the largest workout center I have ever been in. All very impressive and really not crowded because the buildings are only half full here.

Getting back to the original focus of this blog was discovering new things and last night we discovered a new craft beer bar on a roof top close to our building. It is called Y Craft Beer and has only been opened 6 months so the wait staff are keen to please and we will likely return here for a meal before I leave. They have entertainment and a beautifully maintained property so why not enjoy!

Stop and smell the roses!!
